WHAT WE
DO
Shining a light through the collective by supporting a better world.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
Life can be a wild ride, right? But it’s important to know that life is supposed to be good to us.
We SHOW “how good life can get” through vibrant traditions that heighten cultural appreciation and support opportunities - for all.
It’s our mission to enlighten individuals toward a more fulfilling life, encouraging them to “experience something different.”

DID YOU KNOW
-
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development considers half of renters in the U.S. cost-burdened, a.k.a. those who spend 30% PLUS of their income on rent and utilities.
-
As of January 2025, the average monthly electric bill in the U.S. is $144.84.
-
The average monthly gas bill in the U.S. is $80.33, amounting to an annual expense of $964.
These expenses can make it tough to handle the basics/; like food, clothes, getting around, or staying healthy.
Let’s SHOW our community how great life can be through community support. Together, we’re helping folks breathe easier and secure a new opportunity to level up their finances!
SELECTION PROCESS:
Applicants must apply or be nominated online at theshowmefoundation.org for consideration. Final applications will be reviewed by the board. Once selected, winners will be notified. Followed by email announcement (if agreed upon by the winner)
Our goal is to assist families by keeping their lights on, water running, and homes warm. When needed, we’ve got their backs with rent or mortgage support, too! All payments go straight to the utility companies and landlords, making sure the help lands exactly where it’s needed.
An Afternoon
of Bloom
A Volunteer Community Initiative
Numerous studies have shown that the presence of flowers triggers happy emotions and heightens the satisfaction of life.
A team of researchers explored the link between flowers and life satisfaction in a 10-month study. The results show:
-
Flowers have an immediate impact on happiness. All study participants expressed “true” or “excited” smiles upon receiving flowers, demonstrating a sense of happiness and gratitude. This reaction was universal in all age groups and gender.
-
Flowers have a long-term positive effect on moods. Specifically, study participants reported feeling less depressed, anxious and agitated after receiving flowers, and demonstrated a higher sense of enjoyment and life satisfaction.
-
Flowers make intimate connections. The presence of flowers led to increased contact with family and friends.
Join us in sharing the gift of thoughtfulness! Volunteers will participate in this random act of kindness by gifting flowers to complete strangers.
This continued act of kindness generates an opportunity to show people how good the world can be.
