The Show Me Foundation started with shoes and prom dresses. We thought we were solving problems.
Then we met the mom who couldn't afford the prom dress because she was three months behind on rent. The professional who lost his job and didn't know how to ask for help without losing his dignity. The family choosing between groceries and electricity.
That's when we realized: the deeper need wasn't what people wore. It was what they were carrying.
So we shifted.
Today, The Show Me Foundation provides direct rent and utility assistance for families and individuals in crisis, people getting back to work, newly laid off professionals, anyone caught in the gap between jobs and bills
